Alter Ego: Folly or Friend

The students discussed the concept of “alter-ego” and filled out a worksheet that helped them to discover how it related to their lives. They reflected on the use of alter-ego in visual art, and the notion of representing an idealized or alternate self. They learned the steps of making paper mache to create a figurative sculpture. Later, they used paint to give their sculpture a character that can relate to the image they had in their mind about their own personality.
